Fox News Radio host Guy Benson is an openly gay conservative commentator. And he wants those critical of his sexuality to know that attempting to insult him doesn’t work.
In a thread to X, Benson shared his feelings that jokes and barbs about him don’t land as intended. He chastised those who attempt to use his sexuality as a negative.
“Let me you in on a little secret: Calling me ‘Gay Benson’ is neither creative nor insulting. Oh, you’ve swapped out a vowel in my first name, thus producing a word that describes my sexuality—about which I’m open & unashamed. You’re so brilliant! You and all the half-wit trolls who’ve been throwing this at me for years. Slow clap, wordsmiths,” Benson wrote.
“You’re not going to make me less gay, or offended by the word. You’re not going to make me less critical of Trump when I think it’s warranted. You’re not going to make me less supportive of my Jewish friends or Israel,” The Guy Benson Show host continued. “You are going to make me wonder if you’ve got some…insecurities you need to work through. But that’s a therapist’s job, not mine.”
