MLB Network has been added to the lineup of core channels on Hulu + Live TV, providing users the ability to watch more than 100 nationally broadcast Major League Baseball games and the network’s variety of studio programming and on-site coverage of the sport. The live game broadcasts include MLB Network Showcase games, which resume on Wednesday when Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers face Matt Chapman and the San Francisco Giants at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST.
The network was previously available to watch on YouTube TV until early last year when the two sides were unable to reach an agreement on extending its carriage deal. Consumers can continue to watch MLB Network through other OTT streaming services including Sling TV and Fubo and through cable subscription plans including the channel. MLB Network Radio is also available on SiriusXM Channel No. 89, which includes live play-by-play, original programming and television studio shows High Heat and MLB Tonight in the audio format.
The daily lineup of studio programming begins with MLB Central with Mark DeRosa, Robert Flores and Lauren Shehadi from 9 to 11 a.m. EST, a morning show that blends information and entertainment within reviewing and previewing the games of the day. High Heat with Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo and Alanna Rizzo follows the morning show, which features unique segments and interviews with players, managers and journalists. Brian Kenny hosts MLB Now at 12 p.m. EST, a show designed for the thinking fan that includes panelists such as Bob Costas, Steve Phillips, Jon Heyman and Dan O’Dowd.
The second half of the lineup includes Off Base, hosted by Lauren Gardner with panelists Xavier Scruggs and Ariel Epstein, which looks at baseball and implements social media buzz and fashion. Russell Dorsey, who was recently named the national MLB insider for Yahoo Sports, will regularly make appearances on the show as well. Siera Santos, Kevin Millar and Ryan Dempster co-host Intentional Talk at 5 p.m. EST that includes informative and entertaining discussion about the sport.
MLB Tonight comes on the air at 6 p.m. EST and reviews the previous and forthcoming action while also including interviews and analysis. The day concludes with Quick Pitch, the whiparound highlight show that reviews the full slate of games and prepares viewers for the next day of action. Ahead of Opening Day, MLB Network added studio host Abby Labar to its talent roster, who made her debut on Quick Pitch last Thursday.
