On Friday morning, a reported 4.8 magnitude earthquake happened in northern New Jersey near the Pennsylvania state line.
According to early reports, it was the strongest earthquake felt in New Jersey in nearly 250 years. It was the third strongest earthquake in the state on record, with the previous two happening in 1737 and 1783.
The earthquake was felt by those from New York City and as far north as Massachusetts and Connecticut to as far south as Baltimore.
