Reports indicate that Audacy is having another round of layoffs, this one expected to affect around 100 employees. Mike Kadlick, who had served as the Patriots reporter for WEEI in Boston took to X to announce he had been let go.

“My time with WEEI has come to an end due to company-wide reductions,” he wrote. “Very tough to swallow right before the NFL Draft, but I’m looking forward to continuing covering the Patriots in some way. I’ll still be plugged in this weekend. Onward.”

One Audacy employee based in New York posted on LinkedIn, “A tough day at Audacy as we had to say goodbye to a handful of really talented, hard-working colleagues, three of whom I’ve become particularly close to.” The employee goes on to mention a sports content producer in the New York City area in addition to a few other positions which were eliminated.
