Doug Stephan’s Good Day Show Restructuring for Weekends and Flex Scheduling

As of May 3, 2024, the long-running, Doug Stephan’s Good Day Show will come to an end. But fear not, a new era of weekend programming is set to begin.

Doug Stephan & Jai Kershner will now host two four-hour shows every weekend. The two new shows will be aptly titled “Good Day Saturday” and “Good Day Sunday.” These fresh offerings will be delivered to affiliate stations via FTP.

Setting the shows apart will be their unique production, diverse content, and special guests throughout all eight hours. The programs will be modular, meaning affiliates can mix and match their eight hours into one or two hour programs for daily airing throughout the week.

Doug Stephan reassured listeners that this was not the end, rather a shift in how they will operate. “This isn’t goodbye, but it is changing when and how we will deliver our program. Weekends are a vast wasteland of infomercials and reruns. The content on this new show aligns with the same positive approach, features and friends that listeners have become accustomed to from “Good Day.” Stephan added “This new program is deliberately formatted so each hour stands on its own and can be used in any daypart on the weekend or weekdays, and it can be aired more than once, should you want to do that.”

After 36 years of airing daily, The Good Day Show will turn to United Stations Media Networks for FTP distribution. For podcast fans, Stephan’s podcast programs will remain unchanged including the daily Good Day podcast.
