Annie Agar is set to host an original podcast series titled The Offensive Line, the newest edition to the Wondery portfolio of sports podcasts. As part of the new project, she will analyze key matchups around the National Football League, along with odds and other drama taking place. Additionally, Agar will be joined by current and former players along with celebrity superfans for discussion about things going on in football and fantasy. The new podcast from Wondery offering will launch in August as teams prepare for the NFL regular season.
Agar has starred in and produced viral meeting videos that she posts throughout the NFL season to depict the sentiments of different organizations and fanbases. In addition to building her brand on social media, she also serves as a host, insider and NFL and college football correspondent at Stadium where she appears on several programs including Stadium Clubhouse and The Rally. Concurrent with the announcement of Agar’s new program, Wondery also announced that Nick Cannon and Courtney Bee will co-host the second season of We Playin’ Spades, a podcast video series that includes weekly conversations with those in the entertainment industry.
“Nick Cannon, Courtney Bee, and Annie Agar are all hosts with unbelievable charisma and fresh perspectives, and that’s why we’re so excited to have them as part of our talk-driven programming at Wondery,” Marshall Lewy, chief content officer at Wondery, said in a statement. “Nick and Courtney ran the table when they came on We Playin’ Spades last season, so I can’t wait to see what they do and say as hosts. Annie is an up-and-comer in both the sports and comedy space, and it’s that rare combination that makes her the social media star she is.”
Over the years, Agar has disseminated her perspectives on the league through various digital media platforms and will now add the new show from Wondery among her offerings. Before working at Stadium, Agar was in a similar role with Bally Sports where she gained linear television experience. In the past, Agar has also hosted the Super Bowl Red Carpet, appeared for segments on ESPN’s NFL Sunday Countdown and delivered a TedTalk.
