FOX Sports will serve as the broadcast home for the American, English-language presentation of UEFA EURO 2024 and CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 and has revealed a lineup of experienced, adept commentators to showcase the action. The network’s broadcast teams will be on site from Germany to call all UEFA EURO 2024 matches from the stadiums beginning on Friday, June 14 and spanning to the championship game on Sunday, July 14. Ian Darke, commentator for ESPN and TNT Sports in the United Kingdom, makes his return to FOX Sports to call his second international tournament with FOX Sports. Darke will join U.S. Men’s National Team tied all-time leading scorer Landon Donovan as the lead broadcast team for UEFA EURO 2024.
Derek Rae, the lead commentator for Bundesliga coverage on ESPN, has called every men’s FIFA World Cup and UEFA EURO tournament on U.S. Television. Rae will continue that streak this summer as a member of the play-by-play announcing team. Former England goalkeeper Robert Green will make his FOX Sports match analyst debut alongside Rae within the tournament as well. Outside of his impending work with FOX Sports, Green is also a match analyst for Amazon and BBC Radio’s coverage of the Premier League, along with Channel 4 coverage of the English National Team in the United Kingdom. Moreover, he has also contributed to UEFA Champions League coverage on CBS during his broadcast career.
The remaining broadcast teams for UEFA EURO 2024 include play-by-play announcer Jacqui Oatley and former England defender Warren Barton. Lastly, longtime announcer Darren Fletcher will pair with England midfielder Owen Hargreaves, both of whom are making their debuts for FOX Sports, within the tournament. Dr. Joe Machnik and Mark Clattenburg will work as rules analysts for both UEFA EURO 2024 and CONMEBOL Copa América 2024. Jules Breach will host studio coverage of UEFA EURO 2024 with former center-back and Team Italy captain Giorgio Chiellini as one of the studio analysts.
For coverage of CONMEBOL Copa América 2024, which commences on Thursday, June 20 and runs until Sunday, July 14, the lead broadcast team of play-by-play announcer John Strong and former U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Stu Holden will return to the air. The pairing will call every U.S. Men’s National Team group-stage match and additional contests as well. Strong and Holden have called more than 300 soccer matches together since 2014, which encompasses the most repetitions among English-language television duos over the last decade.
Rounding out the remainder of the broadcast teams for CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 is longtime play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera with National Soccer Hall of Fame member Cobi Jones. Luis Omar Tapia will also work as a play-by-play announcer for the tournament alongside match analyst and former U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Maurice Edu. Specific match assignments for all broadcast teams will be announced before the start of each tournament, along with studio analysts, reporters and hosts.
