NBC Sports will present nearly 300 hours of coverage of the upcoming U.S. Open. The 124th edition of one of golf’s major championships will begin play Thursday June 13 and will see a champion crowned on Sunday June 16. Coverage will be provided by NBC, Peacock and USA Network. Coverage from the event begins Monday June 10 with Golf Central Live from the U.S. Open on Peackock and GOLF Channel.
The play-by-play and analyst pairings for the tournament will see Dan Hicks work with Brandel Chamblee, Mike Tirico with Brad Faxon, Terry Gannon with Notah Begay III, Steve Sands with Gary Koch, Rich Lerner with Curt Byrum and Tom Abbott with Arron Oberholser.
For Dan Hicks, this will be the 25th U.S. Open he has worked for NBC Sports, which includes the three previous tournaments from Pinehurst in 1999, 2005 and 2014. For Brandel Chamblee, this will be his first U.S. Open as an analyst. Chamblee played in the 1999 tournament at Pinehurst No. 2.
On-course reporters for the event will be John Wood, Smylie Kaufman, Jim ‘Bones’ Mackay, Roger Maltbie, Paige Mackenzie and Curt Byrum.
Interviews will be conducted by Damon Hack and Kira K. Dixon.
