Longtime WGAU morning shot host Tim Bryant has exited the Athens, Georgia news/talk outlet.
Bryant hosted Classic City Today from 6-10 AM as the only local weekday programming on the Cox Media Group station. He also served as the station’s news director and was a reporter for sister station 95.5 WSB in Atlanta.
In a post to social media, Bryant alluded to his departure, stating “I covet your prayers as my circumstances change.”
WGAU featured a re-air of yesterday’s edition of The Erick Erickson Show in morning drive Wednesday.
A report from RadioInsight alleges Bryant is the first public name in a round of layoffs affecting Cox Media Group. As of publication, no other names have been revealed as departing the Atlanta-based radio group.
