Shannon Spake and FOX Sports Reportedly Part Ways

Shannon Spake, who has been a part of FOX Sports since starting in 2016, is reportedly no longer with company. The news was first reported on X by former USA Today columnist Rudy Martzke.

Spake, who will turn 48 later this month, had been the host of NASCAR coverage, including anchoring coverage of NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity race broadcasts. She also worked the sidelines for NFL broadcasts where she was teamed with Kenny Albert and Jonathan Vilma.

It had just been reported recently that Albert and Vilma would be the only FOX Sports NFL broadcast team to stay together for this coming season. The sideline reporters for the 2024 broadcast teams are not yet known.

A Florida Atlantic University graduate, Spake came to FOX Sports after almost a decade at ESPN. She had contributed to SportsCenter and did sideline reports for college football and basketball games. She also served as a pit reporter for ESPN’s Nationwide and Sprint Cup races.

She had also spent time at SPEED, which was owned by Fox, where she was the host of NASCAR Nation.

In 2017, Spake had a cameo role in Disney Pixar’s movie, Cars 3.
