Training camps around the NFL are beginning this week, giving rise to more football news and discussion as the regular season approaches. All 32 teams from around the league will continue their preparations in a quest to secure the Vince Lombardi Trophy as Super Bowl champions next February. Beginning this weekend, NFL Network will broadcast 16 hours of live coverage as part of its Training Camp: Back Together Weekend slate of programming as teams around the league take the field. Additionally, on-location coverage from all of the training camp locations around the league will be implemented within the weekend shows, granting consumers a first-hand perspective on the action taking place. NFL Network will present coverage of the proceedings with daily editions of Inside Training Camp beginning next Monday, July 29 and running through Wednesday, Aug. 7. Hosts of the coverage include Chris Rose, Mike Yam and MJ Acosta-Ruiz among others, all of whom will be joined by analysts such as Cynthia Frelund, Brian Baldinger and Gerald McCoy. In addition, NFL Media insiders Mike Garafolo, Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, along with NFL Network reporters Omar Ruiz, Sara Walsh and Jeffri Chadiha will be part of the coverage as well.
New episodes of The Insiders will air throughout the training camp stretch, including two shows next week on Wednesday, July 31 and Friday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. EST. Furthermore, the network’s Emmy Award-winning show, Good Morning Football, will make its return to the airwaves on Monday, July 29 at 8 a.m. EST. Moreover, it will feature a new two-hour syndicated series, GMFB: Overtime, streaming on The Roku Channel at 10 a.m. EST that day as well. Jamie Erdahl, Peter Schrager, Kyle Brandt, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Sherree Burruss will be on both editions of the program, which moved to Los Angeles, Calif. after parts of eight years in New York, N.Y.
The NFL website will feature digital coverage surrounding training camps, including daily recaps from Eric Edholm during Training Camp: Back Together Weekend. Writers within the “Around the NFL” vertical will also track the news from training camps and divulge updates pertaining to the status of the depth chart. New episodes of the NFL Daily podcast with Gregg Rosenthal and the Move the Sticks podcast with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks will also be available for fans to consume wherever they get their podcasts.
