The Big Ten Network will provide comprehensive coverage of Big Ten Conference Football throughout the 2024 season. Beginning this year, the conference will include 18 teams for the first time in its history with the additions of Washington, UCLA, USC and Oregon. FOX Corporation has majority ownership of the Big Ten Network and will continue as its operating partner while also televising conference games on its other linear networks as well. Paramount Global and NBCUniversal are the other two rightsholders within the conference’s media contract, which is reportedly worth $7 billion over seven years.
Play-by-play announcers who will be on the call for games throughout the season are Jeff Levering, Guy Haberman, Mark Followill, Lisa Byington, Jason Ross Jr., Jason Horowitz, Pat Boylan and Joe Beninati. They will be joined by a rotation of analysts, including Yogi Roth, a former All-American tight end at the University of Michigan who is making his Big Ten Network debut this season. Furthermore, other analysts who will be on the air include Jake Butt, Lincoln Kennedy, Matt Millen and Jeremy Leman.
On-field reporters for the season that will provide updates from the field include Brooke Fletcher, Rhett Lewis, Melanie Ricks, Taryn Hatcher and Kylen Mills. Former NFL vice presidents of officiating Mike Pereira and Dean Blandino will make their return as rules analysts for the broadcasts as well.
The B1G Tailgate studio show will return for its eighth season featuring host Mike Hall and analyst Tyvis Powell. For its Week 1 matchup, the program will be at Purdue University as the Boilermakers open their season against Indiana State. On-site locations for the first five weeks of the season have been confirmed, which include Penn State, Michigan, Washington and Indiana.
Broadcasts of B1G Tailgate air weekly on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. EST and will be followed by a new 30-minute B1G Countdown to Kickoff show. Co-hosted by Rick Pizzo, Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith and Brock Vereen, the program will prepare fans for the slate of conference games taking place each week. DiNardo will also continue his work on Urban Analysis featuring former football head coach Urban Meyer.
Dave Revsine, Marcel Reece and Ashley Adamson will appear on The Final Drive program that will recap the games over the weekend. Additionally, Yahoo Sports senior college football reporter Ross Dellenger and NFL/NCAA coach Dave Wannstedt will contribute to studio programs across the network, some of which include The Final Drive, The B1G Show and B1G Today. Outside of the live game broadcasts and studio programming, Big Ten Network will also air its 13th season of the Emmy-nominated franchise, The Journey: Big Ten Football 2024, during the fall. More Big Ten Network Originals programming is going to be announced at a later date.
