Tom Scott Retiring After 43 Years In Radio

Industry vet Tom Scott is retiring after 43 years in the industry. Scott will step down as Production Director and midday host Wednesday from Backyard Broadcasting’s Country WILQ, Williamsport, PA.

He previously was PM driver for Seven Mountains Media WCFT/WZBF (Bigfoot Country)/Selinsgrove, PA.

Scott told Country Insider, “It’s time to do something else. It has been an honor being part of the 50+-year country music heritage of WILQ. I’ll be spending more time traveling and on my vintage business and expanding the Central PA Vintage Fest brand we started this year.”
