1130 WISN is one of the strongest news/talk radio brands in America. That is evidenced by its latest Nielsen ratings finish, and morning host Jay Weber is celebrating.
The station earned a 13.0 share in the publically available 6+ demographic, making it the top station in Milwaukee. It has held that distinction for the past 11 months.
In a post to social media, Jay Weber thanked listeners for their dedication to the iHeartMedia-owned news/talk station.
“My ratings in the morning have been genuinely eye-popping for folks within the industry, and for any station, much less an AM that powers up and down,” the 1130 WISN host wrote.
In 2023, Nielsen released a study that showed Milwaukee is the third highest-rated market for AM Radio listening, behind Buffalo and Chicago. The data revealed that 48% of all radio listening in the Wisconsin city took place on the AM band.
