Mark Schlereth and Danny Parkins to Join Craig Carton in Mornings as Part of FS1 Lineup Changes

"FS1 is introducing two new offerings in mornings and reconfiguring its late-afternoon program Speak."

Skip Bayless departed FS1 this month after working for FOX Sports 1 for nearly eight years. Bayless’ final episode of Undisputed aired on Friday, August 3rd, paving the way for the network to revamp its weekday lineup. FS1 is introducing two new offerings in mornings, including new personalities such as Danny Parkins and Chase Daniel, along with reconfiguring its late-afternoon program Speak. The new programming lineup begins to roll out in part starting on the morning of Monday, Aug. 26.

“FS1 is evolving around a dynamic roster of sports talk personalities, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead,” Charlie Dixon, executive vice president and head of content at FS1, said in a statement. “From early morning to late afternoon, viewers can look forward to an array of compelling sports discussions, expert analysis and exclusive interviews, all designed to keep sports enthusiasts informed and entertained throughout the day.”

Mornings will begin with Breakfast Ball, featuring Craig Carton, Danny Parkins, and Mark Schlereth. Michelle Beadle had been in talks to be part of the new program; however, a deal did not end up materializing between her and FOX Sports, according to Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post.

Carton’s new partners both have sports radio backgrounds. FOX Sports NFL analyst Mark Schlereth currently co-hosts Schlereth and Evans at Denver Sports 104.3 The Fan. Danny Parkins recently signed off at 670 The Score, where he worked in afternoons alongside Matt Spiegel. For the first week of the show, Breakfast Ball will air live at 12p ET on FS1 before moving to the 8a-10a ET time slot beginning Tuesday, September 3rd.

Following the new morning trio will be The Facility. The new 10a-12p ET program will feature former NFL players Emmanuel Acho, LeSean McCoy, James Jones, and Chase Daniel. Acho, McCoy and Jones were all working for FS1 already, pairing together on Speak. Daniel previously worked as an analyst at NFL Network. The show will air live from Los Angeles, CA beginning Tuesday, September 3rd.

Colin Cowherd and Jason McIntyre will continue working together on The Herd from 12p-3p ET, followed by the recently expanded two-hour edition of First Things First with Nick Wright, Chris Broussard and Kevin Wildes. Joy Taylor will continue to host Speak for the ensuing two hours, but she will be joined by new analysts Paul Pierce and Keyshawn Johnson, both of whom previously took part in Undisputed. The new cast of the show will make its debut on Tuesday, September 3rd in the afternoon block of 5p-7p ET.
