KDKA Morning Anchor Paul Rasmussen Recovering After Suffering Heart Attack During Show

The KDKA morning news anchor added that he would return to his post in short order.

KDKA morning news anchor Paul Rasmussen is recovering after suffering a heart attack during the station’s morning show Monday.

Rasmussen revealed he was not feeling well during the daypart and eventually went to a Pittsburgh area hospital to be checked out. He was then informed that he had suffered a “silent” heart attack which features few symptoms or symptoms that may not be recognized as a heart attack.

Rasmussen thanked listeners for their concern, saying “Thanks each of you for caring.”

The KDKA morning news anchor added that he would return to his post in short order, before raising awareness for silent heart attacks, telling the station “So many people have them and don’t realize it.”

Paul Rasmussen has been with the Audacy Pittsburgh station since 2006. He anchors morning news during The Big K Morning Show alongside Larry Richert.
