CBS Sports HQ to Premiere ‘College Football Pregame’ on Aug. 31

The new show takes effect as CBS Sports prepares to broadcast the 2024 Big Ten Championship at the end of the season.

CBS Sports HQ will be launching College Football Pregame this season, a new three-hour Saturday morning studio show that will highlight the latest news, opinions, picks and updates throughout the sport. The new pregame show will air on CBS Sports HQ, the 24/7 streaming sports news network, and officially makes its debut on Saturday, Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST. New episodes will air on subsequent Saturday mornings throughout the college football season.

This program will join a burgeoning lineup of multiplatform college football coverage on the network, which includes an array of digital programs from outlets such as Cover 3, 247Sports and SportsLine. Following the pregame show, CBS Sports HQ will have live coverage through the day of games with highlights, analysis and breaking news. Moreover, betting analysts will appear on the network throughout the day to offer their best bets and live in-game wagers as they utilize the latest lines from FanDuel, which is the official odds provider of CBS Sports HQ.

Hosts who will be part of the program include Jordan Giorgio and Jeremy St. Louis, and they will be joined by a roster of analysts that includes Damien Harris, Danny Kanell, Cardale Jones and Beanie Wells. Additional analysts who will take part in the show include Josh Pater, Bryant McFadden and Mackenzie Brooks. Reporters on the show will consist of Jenny Dell, Dennis Dodd, Matt Zenitz and Richard Johnson, while Cover 3 personalities will include Bud Elliott, Tom Fornelli and Chip Patterson.

The new show takes effect as CBS Sports prepares to broadcast the 2024 Big Ten Championship at the end of the season. The Paramount Global subsidiary is embarking on the second season of a seven-year media rights deal with the Big Ten Conference. In addition to the college football action, CBS Sports also serves as a media rights partner of the National Football League and is coming off a record-setting Super Bowl broadcast that drew an average of 123.7 million viewers.

Paramount Global is in the midst of a go-shop period after Skydance Media signed a definitive agreement that will result in a two-step process with an investment of over $8 billion into New Paramount. The transaction will result in Skydance Media acquiring National Amusements and subsequently merging with Paramount Global, forming New Paramount with David Ellison serving as chair and chief executive officer and Jeff Shell as president. The Skydance offer received competition from a bid compiled by Edgar Bronfman Jr., executive chairman of Fubo, but it was rescinded shortly before the deadline to submit a final offer.
