Salem News Channel has been adding distribution in a variety of ways, including Pluto TV. That has added a noticeable new crop of listeners and viewers, Mike Gallagher says.
During The Mike Gallagher Show, the Salem Radio Network host noted that he’s noticed an influx of new listeners and viewers interacting on the program’s text and phone lines after the network was added to Pluto TV.
“I’m been getting some nice notes, incidentally, from new Pluto viewers, which is really cool,” said Gallagher. “We’re finally on Pluto. Salem News Channel is now carried on Pluto. It’s expanding all over the place. Of course, we’re on hundreds of radio stations around the country.
“So if you’re a new viewer to this show, welcome aboard … as this is, I think our first week on Pluto.”
Pluto TV is a free ad-supported streaming television service owned and operated by the Paramount Streaming division of Paramount Global.
With the streaming news channel now airing on Pluto, it’s the latest distribution platform for the network. Earlier this summer, Salem News Channel announced a new partnership with HC2 Broadcasting, giving the network an over-the-air television home in markets like New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco, Phoenix, Tampa, and Minneapolis, among others. Those markets HC2 Broadcasting stations own covers 25% of all American TV households.
