Cox Media Group has flipped the format of its 860 KONO station from oldies to business, taking on the Business Radio 860 brand.
The station has been airing programming from Bloomberg Radio since flipping the format. It is unclear what local programming — if any — will appear on the brand.
The station had featured an oldies format after relaunching in 2017, according to RadioInsight. For the prior three years, it served as the San Antonio affiliate of CBS Sports Radio.
The station is using “Context Changes Everything” as its positioning statement.
KONO-AM is a Class-B signal with 5,000 watts of daytime power and 900 watts at night. The Cox Media Group signal covers the entire San Antonio market.
