Josh Pate Signs Extension with CBS Sports, Takes Ownership of YouTube and Podcast Channels

The show will now be known as Josh Pate's College Football Show.

Late Kick with Josh Pate has turned into one of the preeminent college football podcasts. The program has undergone a rebrand as part of Pate’s new extension with CBS Sports.

The show will now be known as Josh Pate’s College Football Show, with the host securing ownership of both the program’s YouTube channel and its podcast RSS feed as part of his new contract with the network.

“We just changed the name of the show 24 hours ago. It used to be Late Kick, now it is Josh Pate’s College Football Show. We did that because I just wrapped up negotiations with CBS,” he shared. “They were great about it. I’m staying at CBS. We have signed an extension there.

“And in turn, I own the YouTube channel and I own the podcast feed,” said Pate. “It is now appropriately named Josh Pate’s College Football Show. Some of you question ‘Why change the title?’ It’s a legal thing. So that’s why this show is called what it’s called.”

Despite having a new show name and a new contract with CBS Sports, Pate will continue to host live programs each Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8 PM ET.

According to Chartable.com, the program hosted by Josh Pate is the third most-listened-to football podcast in the United States, and the 15th most popular sports podcast in the nation.
