Arizona Sports 98.7 has announced it will debut a new evening program — Arizona Sports at Night — hosted by Kellan Olson and Mitch Vareldzis.
The program will be heard from 6-8 PM when the station is not airing a game broadcast of its extensive play-by-play rights. Currently, the station serves as the flagship home of the Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns, and the Arizona State Sun Devils.
“The new show is an exciting addition to the Arizona Sports lineup and extends our local talk into the evenings,” said Brian Long, Bonneville Phoenix Director of Programming Operations. “Arizona Sports at Night will serve Valley sports fans with live, local content on
their commute home and all throughout the evening.”
Olson has been with the station since 2015 and has hosted the Empire of the Suns podcast for nine years. Vareldzis has been with Arizona Sports 98.7 for six years, primarily as the producer of Burns & Gambo, the station’s afternoon show. His role will also expand to include pregame and postgame coverage of the Suns.
Arizona Sports at Night will debut on Monday, September 9th.
