Candace Owens has revealed she has been suspended by YouTube after the video platform claimed she violated its hate speech policy during an interview with Kanye West.
In a message posted to X, Owens shared that she would not be doing her show Monday, or for the entire week, due to the weeklong suspension she had received from the Google-owned platform.
“There will be no show today, or at all this week,” Owens wrote. “That’s because (YouTube) has issued me a strike and a one week suspension for my sit down with Kanye. They also removed the interview as ‘hate speech’, as it was mass reported by Zionists. Their tactics never change.”
Owens shared a screenshot of a message purporting to be from YouTube that claims a video of her interview with West was removed “because it violates our hate speech policies.”
“YouTube does not allow content containing conspiratorial claims that individuals or groups are evil, corrupt or malicious based on their protected group status. Specifically, the video in questions contained claims that Jewish people control the media.”
Owens defended her interview with Kanye West by saying it “was calm, and filled with love — speaking about the world coming together to defeat evil.”
She then added that she had been “fully demonetized” by YouTube. “We all know exactly who is behind this and why,” Owens posited without any further explanation. Candace Owens argued that she had not received any strikes against her YouTube channel since departing The Daily Wire earlier this year.
