Over the past six weeks, Bonneville AC KOSI 101.1/Denver and Smashburger have been collecting new stuffed animals at Front Range Smashburger locations. The collected toys will be donated to first responders, who will then give them to children experiencing stressful or traumatic situations.
The 2024 KOSI 101.1 “Teddy Bear Patrol” set a new record by collecting 6,122 stuffed animals. According to Jim Lawson, KOSI Program’s Director, “First responders and past recipients have expressed how much of a difference these donations make. Helping others is a key fabric of KOSI 101.1, our parent company, Bonneville International Corporation, and everyone in Colorado. It’s who we are.”
The Colorado DMV collected over 1,000 stuffed animals statewide, in addition to Smashburger locations. The DoubleTree by Hilton DTC collected over 400 items, and the Street Soldierz Motorcycle Club, Dominions Chapter, donated $500.
