The Los Angeles City Council honored Heidi Hamilton and Frank Kramer, co-hosts of Meruelo Media’s Rocker KLOS/Los Angeles Morning Show, by proclaiming September 10th as “Heidi and Frank Day” in the city.
The resolution, introduced by Councilmember John S. Lee, recognized Heidi, Frank, and their entire morning team’s exceptional contributions to the local community. The Council unanimously approved the special recognition.
Kramer said, “I stand here with Heidi with gratitude; this is a testament to storytelling, community, and the shared experiences that we all have together,” Frank continued. “We’ve been on the air together for 24 years. We weren’t born here, we were born in Indiana, a couple of small-town kids, and if you would have told us that we’d be standing here in front of the Los Angeles City Council, getting a day honored, we wouldn’t have believed it. We weren’t born here, but we remain here. We love Los Angeles.”
Hamilton added, “I still can’t believe this. It feels like my alarm is gonna go off. I’m gonna wake up, and I’m gonna go, OK, did I just dream this? But it is a dream and thanks for making our dream come true, thank you so much.”
