Immediately following the Presidential Debate Tuesday, Fox News offered three dates to the candidates’ campaigns. CBS News has now done the same.
On Thursday afternoon, the network revealed that — in conjunction with Spanish-language television partner Univision and The Wall Street Journal — had invited both Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris to participate in a debate held at Arizona State University.
“We hope they accept and provide voters with another opportunity to hear directly from them,” the CBS News statement read.
The network did not reveal who would be tabbed to moderate the event or any specific dates offered to the two candidates.
Fox News offered three specific dates to the Trump and Harris campaigns. The dates provided to the candidates were Wednesday, October 9th at an Arizona location, Tuesday, October 15th at a Georgia location, and Wednesday, October 16th at a North Carolina location.
CBS News is currently scheduled to hold a Vice Presidential debate on Tuesday, October 1st between Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN). CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell and Face the Nation host Margaret Brennan are slated to moderate that event.
