Seattle Kraken Announce 93.3 KJR Host Ian Furness, SportsCenter Anchor Linda Cohn to Host Kraken Hockey Network Broadcasts

Linda Cohn will host 15 games for the Kraken when KJR host Ian Furness will be unavailable.

The Seattle Kraken have left the regional sports network world behind, which means new hosts like 93.3 KJR host Ian Furness and SportsCenter anchor Linda Cohn have joined the fray.

The Kraken Hockey Network was announced Monday morning, with games now airing on local television on KING 5, and KONG in the Seattle/Tacoma market, and on selection TEGNA, Gray, Cox, and Morgan Murphy stations across the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, the team has a deal to provide coverage on Amazon Prime Video.

The Seattle Kraken television broadcast booth will continue to include John Forslund, Eddie Olczyk, JT Brown, and Piper Shaw. Joining the broadcast crew as pre-game, post-game, and intermission host is Ian Furness. Furness hosts from 12-3 PM on 93.3 KJR, the radio flagship station of the NHL franchise.

When Furness is unavailable to host broadcasts for the network, long-time ESPN and SportsCenter anchor Linda Cohn will be featured on the network. While continuing in her role for the Worldwide Leader, she’ll host approximately 15 games during the season for the Kraken.

“Besides the fact that the Kraken are an amazing organization and there’s so much promise with this team, it’s personal for me to be back in Seattle. It’s a city that I’ll always love forever because it’s a family connection,” said Cohn, whose daughter was born while she worked in the city as a local sports anchor. “It’s just very personal and I’m thrilled for this opportunity.”
