FOX Sports Having Best Start to NFL Season Since 2020

The singleheader coverage from this past Sunday drew 18.778 million viewers, an 11% increase over the same slot last year which drew under 17 million.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody, the NFL is off to a hot start when it comes to ratings for games and other programming. FOX Sports has seen growth with both of their pregame shows as well as their game coverage.

The singleheader coverage from this past Sunday drew 18.778 million viewers, an 11% increase over the same slot last year which drew under 17 million. Through the first two weeks of the season, the NFL on FOX is averaging 18.683 million viewers, up almost 30% over last year’s season-to-date average of just under 14.5 million.

To date, this is the best start to FOX’s NFL season since averaging 19.442 million viewers in 2020.

The FOX NFL Sunday pregame show had a big jump this past weekend compared to last year. The 5.208 million viewers was up 21% or around 900,000 more people watching from one year ago. Through the first two weeks, the show is averaging 5.261 viewers, up 12% over last season and the show’s best start since 2019.

FOX NFL Kickoff, which airs prior to FOX NFL Sunday, is also off to a good start. The 1.22 million viewers is up 9% over last year.
