CNN has named Politico reporter Sarah Ferris to serve as a reporter covering Capitol Hill for the cable news giant.
Ferris previously served as a senior congressional reporter for Politico, spending the majority of her time covering the House of Representatives.
She has spent the past decade covering Capitol Hill, beginning her tenure in 2014. During her time covering the legislature, she’s reported on five Speakers of the House and four government shutdowns.
Before joining Politico, Sarah Ferris was a healthcare reporter for digital outlet The Hill.
Ferris began her duties at CNN on Monday. In a post to social media, she shared that her last day at her previous outlet was Friday. “I will miss all of my incredible colleagues there — there’s nowhere like it in the biz,” she wrote.
