Preparations are underway for the CBS News Vice Presidential Debate, and Salem Radio Network has announced it will simulcast the event along its network of nationwide affiliates.
In addition to broadcasting the debate, Salem Radio Network will also feature a two-hour pre-debate special. Larry Elder will host the program and will be joined by network hosts Mike Gallagher, Sebastian Gorka, and Dennis Prager. It will also feature an appearance from This Week on the Hill host and Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.
“Who better to host our Pre-Debate coverage than Larry Elder who ran for Governor of California and then for President,” said Salem Media Group Vice President of Spoken Word Phil Boyce. “He’s been in that chair before so he knows what to say. Stations who sign up for coverage are in for a treat!”
The event will also be simulcast on the Salem News Channel.
”While SRN provides audio debate coverage from CBS News, SNC is pleased to present our live video simulcast of the CBS News Vice Presidential debate,” said Salem News Channel Vice President and General Manager Cary Pahigian. “In addition, we will provide extensive pre and post-debate analysis.”
The CBS News Vice Presidential Debate is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1st at 9 PM ET. It will be moderated by CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell and Face the Nation moderator Margaret Brennan.
