FOX Sports Off to Best NFL Start Since 2016; Big Noon Kickoff and Big 12 College Football Score Big on Saturday

Through the first four weeks of the season, the NFL on FOX is averaging 19.243 million viewers, an increase of 16% year over year and the best start since 2016.

This weekend saw a lot of sports fans tuning into FOX Sports to watch football. After averaging almost 2 million viewers on Friday night for Rutgers-Washington, the network drew over 3.5 million for their Big Noon Saturday Big Ten matchup between Michigan and Minnesota. The Wolverines won the game 27-24.

Laer, Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes had a big 48-21 win over UCF and that game had an audience over 4 million. FOX Sports said the game was up 44% over the average of all Big 12 games on the network from 2023.

On Sunday, the FOX NFL Sunday pregame show was up a bit over last year’s week 4 show with 4.49 million viewers. Through four weeks the show is averaging 4.958 million viewers, which is up 9% over last year’s average and FOX NFL Sunday’s best start since 2019.

The FOX Sports NFL singleheader was also up over last year with an audience of 17.2 million, a 2% increase from last season. Through the first four weeks of the season, the NFL on FOX is averaging 19.243 million viewers, an increase of 16% year over year and the best start since 2016.
