RedBird IMI, a joint venture investment platform that specializes in global media, entertainment, sports, and news content, led by Jeff Zucker, has announced a collaboration with A-Frame Productions. The award-winning filmmaker, director, cinematographer, and executive producer Pat Dimon founded A-Frame as a sports content company.
Dimon’s work is known for its immersive style and athlete-driven storytelling. He has over ten years of experience at HBO Sports and has also worked on projects such as Full Swing and 100 Days to Indy, showcasing his ability to capture the human side of sports and offer audiences a glimpse into the lives of athletes as they balance their personal and professional goals.
Through this partnership, RedBird IMI solidifies its presence in the world of high-quality sports documentaries. Dimon is highly regarded in the industry and has 20 years of production experience, with an extensive portfolio including projects for Netflix, HBO, Paramount+, and other top-tier platforms around the world.
“Pat can always be found where the action is – on the putting green at The Masters with Rickie Fowler, surfing with Kelly Slater, or driving 200 miles per hour with Pato O’Ward,” said Jeff Zucker, CEO of RedBird IMI in a release. “Pat is a confidant and storyteller to the most famous athletes in the world. We are thrilled to have him as a partner and look forward to the incredible content A-Frame will continue to produce with support from our portfolio.”
“I’ve always tried to tell stories that go beyond the greens and racetrack, putting viewers in the real life minds of the characters,” said Dimon. “We explore the human condition behind the athlete, taking audiences through their journeys of triumph and adversity. With this collaboration, we will reach new heights in content creation and showcase our vision and ability to connect with athletes on a personal level.”
