ABC has announced it will simulcast six more ESPN Monday Night Football games, including the upcoming game between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets. The additional games mean ABC will air 17 total this season, with now 14 simulcasts (including two playoff games) and three games exclusively on ABC.

Additional games added include Baltimore at Tampa Bay (Oct. 21), Tampa Bay at Kansas City (Nov. 4), Houston at Dallas (Nov. 18), Baltimore at Los Angeles Chargers (Nov. 25) and New Orleans at Green Bay (Dec. 23). This leaves Nov 11 and Dec. 2 as the only dates where ABC will not have a game during the regular season.

Last season, the Hollywood writers and actors were on strike and the NFL and ABC/ESPN expanded the number of games on ABC to 18. When the original Monday Night Football schedule was announced, it contained eight games on ABC which was a combination of simulcasts, Saturday regular season games at the end of the year and the three exclusive games on ABC.

Following the Bills-Jets matchup, Monday Night Football will have two games on Oct. 21 with the Ravens-Buccaneers game along with a Chargers-Cardinals game. Week 9 will see the Buccaneers again, this time at the Kansas City Chiefs.
