A partnership was announced today between FOX Deportes and Telemundo which will see both networks air the upcoming Super Bowl in Spanish. Super Bowl LIX will take place on Feb. 9, 2025 from The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The two Spanish-language networks will produce separate broadcasts and will make more announcements about coverage details at a later time.
“Since airing the first Super Bowl in U.S. Spanish-language history, FOX Deportes has been at the forefront of Spanish-language NFL coverage,” said Carlos Sanchez, the network’s Executive Vice President and General Manager in a release. “Both companies have played a pivotal role in the rapid growth of the league’s Hispanic fanbase and we are proud to collaborate with Telemundo to bring the Super Bowl to more Spanish-language viewers than ever before in a landmark moment for the league and its Spanish-language fans.”
“Delivering live NFL games in Spanish is key to reaching the large and rapidly growing Spanish-speaking NFL fan base,” said Hans Schroeder, NFL Executive Vice President, Media Distribution. “We are constantly looking for ways to expand access to our games and reach more fans, and this partnership is another step forward. Additionally, we are excited for the experience that FOX Deportes and Telemundo will create for Super Bowl LIX.”
FOX Deportes made history in 2015 as the first network to air the Super Bowl in Spanish in the United States. The Super Bowl in New Orleans will mark the network’s fifth Super Bowl broadcast, the most of any Spanish-language network. Similarly, Telemundo made history in 2022 with its Spanish-language broadcast of Super Bowl LVI, marking the first Super Bowl televised on a Spanish-language broadcast network in the U.S. and setting a record at the time for the most-watched NFL game in Spanish-language history.
“We are thrilled to partner with FOX Deportes to bring yet another milestone Super Bowl presentation en español,” said Joaquin Duro, Executive Vice President, Sports, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. “This collaboration highlights the strength of our network and, in fact, furthers our shared mission to expand the sport’s reach within the Latino community, ensuring Spanish-speaking fans have access to this premiere event.”
