TNT Sports says viewership of the American League Division Series (ALDS) averaged three million viewers. That figure is 20% higher than the ALDS drew in 2023.
The first series to end was the matchup between the New York Yankees and the Kansas City Royals. That series ended in four games as the Yankees advanced to the American League Championship Series.
They will face the Cleveland Guardians who went to a fifth and deciding game with American League Central Division rivals the Detroit Tigers. That winner-take-all game was moved to the afternoon due to weather concerns and ended up as the most-watched LDS early day telecast (pre-4 p.m. ET start) in 17 years.
TBS will have coverage of the Cleveland-New York series which begins tonight. Should that series reach the full seven games, it would end on Tuesday, Oct. 22, three days before the start of the World Series. FOX will have coverage of the NLCS between the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers. They will also have the coverage of the 2024 World Series.
FOX and FS1’s coverage of the NLDS averaged 4.098 million viewers which made it the most watched League Division Series on any network since 2015.
