The entire interview aired in the first 30 minutes of the program. For the duration of Special Report with Bret Baier an average of 6.2 million viewers watched the Fox News program. That marks the highest rating the show has received since 2020. Of the 6.2 million viewers, 746,000 came from the Adults 25-54 demographic.

Bret Baier received both praise and criticism from both sides of the political aisle for his conduct during the interview. The split was mostly divided along party lines with conservative observers lauding the Fox News anchor for his hard hitting questions. Meanwhile, liberal media members were shocked at the conduct of Baier, with some going as far to call him “rude and “a bully.”

The high-profile interview came on the same day Fox News featured a town hall with Republican candidate Donald Trump. During his conversation with Harris Faulkner, Trump addressed issues to women vote voters in the state of Georgia. That Fox News special received 3 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
