The new morning show will feature with St. Louis radio veteran Tim McKernan, Fox 2 Sports Director Martin Kilcoyne, former KMOV Sports Anchor Doug Vaughn and producer Jackson Burkett. McKernan has hosted TMA since 2004 and was added to Hubbard Radio St. Louis in 2022. He’s been hosting a solo 1-hour show (Balloon Party) on 101 ESPN along with his morning program with Vaughn and Burkett on YouTube and other digital platforms.

“We’re excited to introduce The Morning After to our listeners, we believe this show will have a major impact on the morning radio landscape in St. Louis,” said Tommy Mattern, Operations Manager at 101 ESPN Radio in a release. “With Tim McKernan, Martin Kilcoyne, Doug Vaughn, and Jackson Burkett on board, this show is sure to deliver the kind of sports talk and entertainment our audience craves.”

The show will feature in-depth conversations on the latest sports stories, interviews with top athletes, and the trademark banter that has made TMA a fan favorite according to Mattern.

To make room for the program, 101 ESPN has undergone a series of changes to its roster. The station’s first voice, Randy Karraker has exited after 15+ years with the outlet. Karraker helped signed on the radio station in January 2009. He has been a regular presence at the station in both morning and afternoon drive.
