Both Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson shared messages they received from The New York Times about election misinformation on YouTube. Megyn Kelly doesn’t believe its a coincidence so close to the election.
During a conversation with Glenn Beck on The Megyn Kelly Show, the former Fox News host argued that labeling Shapiro or Carlson as an election-denier isn’t fair to either of their character.
“It feels and very much smells like an attempt by The New York Times … to try to get certain voices silenced either before this election next week or right after just in case there are contests by the GOP side,” Kelly said. “It smells bad. It’s too coincidental.”
Beck agreed, stating that there are already forces at play in an attempt to silence conservative voices.
“This is happening right now. You or I could be on the receiving end at any moment,” Kelly said of the messages received by Shapiro and Carlson. “I will say, Tucker handled it absolutely perfectly.”
In his response to the outlet, Carlson said “Would I like to participate in your attempt to censor me? No thanks. But I do hope you’ll quote what I wrote above and also note that I told you to (expletive) off, which I am now doing. Thanks.”
“The point is, they’re trying to threaten these guys and potentially get their YouTube shut down,” Kelly concluded.
