CNN has added Alexandra Skores to its team. The company is bringing her on board as a reporter/writer, covering transportation from Washington D.C..
Skores brings with her expertise and experience as an aviation journalist. Her recent stint at The Dallas Morning News included covering airlines, air travel, and the ever-evolving aerospace industry.
During her time at The Dallas Morning News, Skores delved into the inner workings of both American Airlines and Southwest Airlines. She documented every twist and turn of an activist investor’s campaign against Southwest, providing valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes drama between a hedge fund and one of Dallas’ largest corporations. In addition, she also wrote about high-powered CEOs, top companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, and the flourishing business of sports.
Before joining The Dallas Morning News, Skores worked for The Oregonian in Portland, Oregon and The Gazette in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Skores is a Chicago, IL native and graduate of the University of Iowa. She brings a well-rounded perspective to CNN’s coverage including a commitment to representing underrepresented communities in her reporting. Skores is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
