98.1 The Max Raises $920,000 For Ronald McDonald Charities

Memphis rock radio station 98.1 The Max recently raised over $920,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis during its 34th Annual Radiothon.

Thanks to the generosity of the station’s listeners and partners, the money was raised in less than 12 hours on Friday, November 1st. Throughout the event, on-air personalities from 98.1 The Max interviewed families who have previously utilized the services of the Ronald McDonald House and community leaders committed to promoting awareness of the organization.

This event marks the largest annual fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis.

Morgan D. Bohannon, Vice President/Market Manager, Cumulus Memphis, said: “The Max audience has long had a passion for RMH Charities, and this year they outdid themselves. The connection between our audience, staff, and “the cause” is unparalleled and now, historic.”

Danni Bruns, Program Director at 98.1 The Max and Operations Manager at Cumulus Memphis, added, “Say what you want about Memphis, but we just proved we’ve got the most generous community.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis provides a supportive residential community for children battling pediatric cancer and other severe illnesses during their treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The organization focuses on creating a nurturing environment for these children and their families.
