Blasting fellow radio hosts used to be par for the course. That isn’t the case as much in 2024, and Buck Sexton says he falls firmly in that group.
During The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, Sexton shared that bickering with fellow radio hosts is just something he isn’t interested in.
“I subscribe to a philosophy of ‘No enemies to the right’,” Sexton shared. “I like to praise the work of good conservatives out there and people who are also doing radio shows, podcasts, or TV shows. They’re doing good work. I’m glad they’re on our team. I’m not like a radio feud guy. That was an old thing that used to happen. But I have my limits.”
Sexton’s comments come after nationally syndicated host Jesse Kelly, as well as Sexton’s co-host, Clay Travis, mocked him for eating a pistacho creme brulee after Republican nominee Donald Trump won the presidency last week. Both Kelly and Travis joked that eating the dessert made Sexton “elitist.” with Kelly joking that nuts don’t belong in dessert.
Buck Sexton concluded by jokingly returning serve to Kelly by sharing a story that the Premiere Networks host once ordered a $75 shot of tequila while Travis was picking up the bill. He said that that made Kelly’s criticism null-and-void.
