ABC News has unveiled plans to broadcast a documentary centered on Luigi Mangione and his killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
The broadcast of Manhunt: Luigin Mangione and the CEO Murder – A Special Edition of 20/20 will air on Thursday, December 19th at 10 PM ET on ABC. Like most ABC programs, the show will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.
During the special program, ABC News will feature an audio recording of Mangione discussing his travels through Asia, as well as potential motives for why he murdered the United Healthcare CEO earlier this month.
The show will also feature reporting from ABC News senior investigative correspondent Aaron Katersky, as well as legal contributor Brian Buckmire, chief investigative reporter Josh Margolin, and interviews with friends of Luigi Mangione.
The announced special is the fourth this week on the subject. Others include films announced by the filmmaker behind the Amanda Knox documentary, as well as an upcoming special on Investigation Discovery that will be released in February.
