For the first time since the 2007-08 season, Charlotte Hornets fans will be able to watch their favorite basketball team for free. According to the NBA, the Hornets and local affiliate WSOC-TV channel 9, along with sister stations TV 64 and FanDuel Sports Southeast are teaming up to air five games this season featuring some of the NBA’s top stars.
“We’re thrilled to partner with WSOC-TV and TV 64 to make our FanDuel Sports Southeast broadcasts available for free and over-the-air for the first time since the 2007-08 season,” said Hornets president of business operations Shelly Cayette-Weston. “We are dedicated to enhancing the fan experience, strengthening the connection with our passionate fanbase, and expanding the reach of our broadcasts. This is a great opportunity to bring our games to a wider audience and increase the exposure of our games.”
Four of the five games will feature Western Conference opponents, including a game against the Los Angeles Lakers (Jan. 27,) the Los Angeles Clippers (Jan. 31,) the defending Western Conference Champion Dallas Mavericks (Feb. 27,) and the Golden State Warriors (March 3.) The lone Eastern Conference team that will be aired for free is the Milwaukee Bucks (Feb. 5).

WSOC-TV and TV 64 will simulcast FanDuel Sports Southeast’s production of the games. The Hornets broadcast team consists of play-by-play announcer Eric Collins, analyst and Hornets legend Dell Curry, and host/sideline reporter Shannon Spake. You can view a full list of games and times below:
