Jim Rome Announces T-Bob Hebert as New Co-Host of ‘After Hour’

“I’m just gonna be completely honest, guys—I got butterflies,”

Jim Rome has been a staple of sports talk radio since 1990, when he began his career at XTRA Sports 690 in San Diego. In recent months, The Jim Rome Show has undergone several changes, from a timeslot shift to an exclusive streaming agreement with X. On Thursday evening, Rome announced another major update: T-Bob Hebert has been named the new co-host of The Jim Rome After Hour

Hebert, the son of former NFL quarterback Bobby Hebert, currently hosts Off The Bench on weekday mornings for 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge, with several affiliates throughout Louisiana. The former LSU Tigers offensive lineman also co-hosts a popular YouTube show, Snaps, alongside former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback and ESPN analyst Aaron Murray.

Hebert replaces Will Blackmon, who had been the original co-host of After Hour since its debut in September 2024.

Rome made the announcement following his radio program on Thursday.

“I have a new sidekick,” Rome said. “He’s had a hugely successful radio program in Baton Rouge. He’s also hammering away in the podcast game. He’s essentially in this life. He’s grinding away. He’s doing what all of us are trying to do—get better every single day, create some kick-ass content, and keep you all entertained.”

The former LSU standout then shared his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity.

“I’m just gonna be completely honest, guys—I got butterflies,” Hebert admitted. “I got adrenaline. I am so excited. It’s a little surreal, like Jim just laid out. I am but a humble radioman trying to make it in this world.”

Cumulus Media’s Westwood One and Jim Rome recently announced a new exclusive partnership to syndicate and distribute The Jim Rome Show, set to begin in December 2024. Rome’s program has also been streaming exclusively on the social media platform X since May 2024, following the end of his television simulcast with CBS Sports Network in February of last year.

The After Hour airs on Rome’s FAST channel, which is available on platforms including Amazon Freevee, DirecTV, LG Channels, Plex, Samsung TV Plus, Sling Freestream, and VIZIO WatchFree+.
