ESPN and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced today that a new ESPN Original Series will feature former WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon. The new series, entitled Stephanie’s Places, debuts March 26 and will showcase McMahon traveling across the country and immersing herself in the experiences of some of WWE’s most popular former and current superstars.
The program, produced by Omaha Productions in partnership with ESPN and WWE, will consist of ten episodes that can be streamed on ESPN+. Additionally, Hulu and Disney+ subscribers will also have access to the series. New episodes will premiere every Wednesday on these streaming platforms.
“WWE has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember,” said Stephanie McMahon. “I’m looking forward to having viewers join me as we visit some of the most iconic stars of past and present, in places of meaning for them, and hear how they overcame adversity to become who they are today.”
For the series debut, McMahon and her husband, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, will visit current WWE superstar Phil Brooks (a.k.a. CM Punk). Punk, who made his highly anticipated return to WWE in November 2023, will sit down with McMahon to reflect on his journey back to the squared circle as he prepared for his match at last year’s SummerSlam event.
Meanwhile, the remaining nine episodes will highlight other WWE superstars, including WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Roman Reigns. Additionally, the series will feature a special sit-down with John Cena. Cena, who announced last year that 2025 will be his final year of in-ring competition, is slated to face Rhodes in the WrestleMania main event next month in Las Vegas.
“The world of WWE has never been more popular and exciting than it is right now,” said Peyton Manning, founder of Omaha Productions. “There is no one better than Stephanie to tell the stories of WWE’s greatest stars and uncover the moments that shaped them.”
McMahon, the daughter of Vince McMahon, has held several roles within WWE from 1998 to 2023, ranging from in-ring performer to her last position as Chief Executive Officer. However, she resigned from the company in January 2023 following Vince McMahon’s return, which came amid allegations of sex trafficking and harassment, including accusations of hush money payments.
Since stepping down from her role, Stephanie McMahon has continued to make several appearances at WWE events.
