President Donald Trump was not happy with what he saw on Fox News and shared an angry message about Jacqui Heinrich. She’s being defended by colleague Brit Hume.
On his Truth Social account, the President wrote “I watched Jacqui Heinrich from Fox over the weekend and I thought she was absolutely terrible. She should be working for CNN, not Fox. Not surprisingly, I later found out that she’s a fan of the White House Correspondents Association!”
It is unclear which specific story or hit Heinrich presented that drew the ire of the President. However, Fox News Chief Political Analyst Brit Hume defended his colleague on social media after Trump’s post.
“I watched her too,” Hume wrote. “She plays it straight, covering both sides of a story, and has certainly played fair with you. You may have a case against some White House reporters, but not (Jacqui Heinrich).”
Heinrich is the Senior White House Correspondent for Fox News and has won three Emmy Awards during her career. She has yet to comment publicly on the criticism from Donald Trump and the defense given by Hume.
