1080 KRLD has added Eric Bushman to its news staff at the Audacy Dallas news/talk station, Bushman has shared on social media.

Last September, Bushman exited his role as Assistant News Director at crosstown WBAP and KLIF. He spent 12 years at the Cumulus Media news/talk stations after previously working at then-Entercom for more than five years in Kansas City.

During his tenure with the Dallas news/talk stations, he won four regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for his news coverage, including an award for his breaking news coverage of the January 6th Insurrection at the Capitol in Washington D.C.

Additional wins included an award for an original news story on the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, as well as an award for reporting on the 2014 Ebola outbreak in the city, and another breaking news coverage award for the 2016 slayings of Dallas police officers by a gunman.

In a post on LinkedIn, Bushman revealed that he’s back on the airwaves in the Metroplex.

“I am thrilled to announce that after six months, I’m finally back on the radio in Dallas,” he wrote on social media. “I’ll be doing some part-time news anchoring for News Radio 1080 KRLD. So happy to be back behind a mic and grateful to Audacy management for the opportunity.”

Eric Bushman has already begun his tenure at 1080 KRLD.
