Final preparations are underway to create a successful 2025 BSM Summit in Chicago. We’re excited to bring the sharpest minds in sports media into one room to listen, learn, network, and celebrate. If you haven’t purchased a ticket, they remain available on BSMSummit.com. Prices go up on May 5th to $324.99 and $149.99. Tickets will no longer be available after May 7th, so get yours now before time runs out.

All sessions for the conference are live on BSMSummit.com. Scroll below the speakers section and you’ll see what’s planned for each session. I’ll be contacting speakers today and tomorrow to confirm details for their sessions. Be advised, changes to the lineup do happen sometimes due to unexpected situations. As of now, this is what attendees can expect when we gather on May 8-9, 2025.

I’ll address our lineup additions in a minute, but I want to first thank Fox Sports. Barrett Media has been privileged to work with Fox in the past, and are grateful to have them returning as a partner of this year’s show. 19 brands in total are supporting the 2025 BSM Summit including our presenting sponsor Point to Point Marketing. That is freaking awesome. Thank You!

Our deadline for sponsorships is the close of business today. So, if you’ve been considering supporting the show but haven’t pulled the trigger, contact Stephanie Eads asap. Her email is Stephanie@BarrettMedia.com.

To make sure the Summit is valuable for our attendees, I’m pleased to reveal some additional firepower to the lineup. These latest additions come one day after we announced the addition of World Series Champion and Chicago White Sox television analyst Ozzie Guillen.

First, I am excited to welcome back Barstool Sports to the Summit. Ben Mintz and Eddie Barstool will be part of a day 1 discussion with yours truly. The way Barstool’s talent and content connect across the internet and social media is incredible. I’m looking forward to Ben and Eddie discussing their approach, process, the pros and cons of social media, and how they evaluate content effectiveness.

Next, my longtime friend and former ESPN Radio colleague Justin Craig will be a part of the Summit. The Director of Programming for the ESPN Radio Network has added podcasting duties working with Mike Foss and others to guide the company’s digital audio execution. JC is a sharp programmer, and was part of the first panel at our inaugural conference in 2018. I’m looking forward to having him lead our Women’s Sports panel. It features Jen Lada, Leila Rahimi, Annie Agar, and Courtney Cronin.

Last, I really liked the structure we put together for our afternoon show panel on day 2. It features three Chicago hosts and one host outside the state of Illinois. Those talents involved include Matt Spiegel and Laurence Holmes of 670 The Score, Marc ‘Silvy’ Silverman of ESPN 1000, and Mike ‘Common Man’ Ricordati of 97.1 The Fan in Columbus.

I thought I’d give our morning show panel on day 1 a similar touch, so I’m happy to welcome 810 WHB in Kansas City morning man Steven St. John to the lineup. SSJ will join a conversation led by John Mamola that includes David Kaplan and Jonathan Hood of ESPN 1000, and David Haugh of 670 The Score.

Altogether, we’ve lined up 45+ sports media and business professionals for this year’s conference. Attendees include market managers, executives, program directors, talent, agents, digital leaders, media buyers, salespeople, reporters, behind the scenes pros, and more. If you work in the media industry and value making connections and increasing your knowledge, or if you’re in school and looking to work in the business in the future, this is the show that you need to be at.

Once again, tickets can be purchased at BSMSummit.com. Sponsorship opportunities must be resolved by close of business today. I look forward to seeing you in two weeks in Chicago!
