It was a successful weekend for all regarding viewership of the three-day NFL Draft held in Green Bay, WI. According to Nielsen data released Tuesday afternoon, the NFL Draft was seen by an average of 7.5 million viewers across ESPN, ABC, NFL Network, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, and all digital channels.
As a result, this makes the 2025 NFL Draft the second-most viewed NFL Draft on record, only trailing the 2020 Draft, which was held live from Commissioner Roger Goodell’s home during the COVID pandemic.
Furthermore, the figures released on Tuesday show a rise in viewership by 27% over last year’s event held in Detroit, MI.
Earlier this week, Nielsen data showed round one coverage was seen by an average audience of 13.6 million viewers across ESPN, NFL Network, ABC, ESPN Deportes, and digital channels, which is an 11% increase over viewership of round one of last year’s NFL Draft.
Meanwhile, night two of the NFL also capitalized on the drama surrounding Sanders. In fact, it led all storylines, as Friday’s second and third rounds of the NFL Draft were seen by an average of 7.3 million viewers, which is up 40% year over year.
Additionally, new viewership data released today shows that day three of the NFL Draft was the most-watched day three on record, with an average viewership of 4.3 million.
In addition, attendance figures were also released for the annual event, and Green Bay, WI welcomed over 600,000 fans to the NFL Draft, an impressive turnout for a city with a population just over 105,000 people. Specifically, the first night welcomed in 205,000, while the third day, which completed rounds four through seven, welcomed over 220,000 people.
Looking ahead, the NFL Draft will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania next year, as the “Steel City” will host the annual event for the first time ever.
