Jon “Stugotz” Weiner, the longtime co-host of The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, is stepping back from the program and in the midst of negotiating a deal under which he would make a certain number of appearances on the show for the year, Barrett Media has confirmed with multiple sources with knowledge of the situation. Weiner, who previously helped build 790 The Ticket in Miami, has been working with Le Batard for the last 20 years and has contributed programming within the Meadowlark Media brand as well.

A source told Barrett Media that Weiner is taking his podcasts with him as well, although the exact shows are unknown at this time. It has been publicly revealed that Jonathan Zaslow will be appearing on the show through the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Zaslow has been on several episodes of the program in recent days discussing local teams such as the Florida Panthers and Miami Heat. Attempts to reach Dan Le Batard, John Skipper and Jon “Stugotz” Weiner were unsuccessful.

Earlier on Friday, news broke of Meadowlark Media co-founder and chief executive officer John Skipper leaving the company after four years. Barrett Media learned from a source with knowledge of the situation that Skipper’s job does not exist in the same way as there have been changes to the economy with scripted/unscripted programming. Nonetheless, he will continue taking part in The Sporting Class podcast with David Samson and Pablo Torre.

Weiner previously made his return to the show after a protracted absence and revealed that he was launching his own YouTube channel. Since that time, he has been adding videos to the page within the Shorts category. Weiner also recently detailed how he recently underwent surgery for a dental emergency and missed several days of the program. Yet he was on the Friday edition of the show from the Miami studios for the last two episodes of the show as it celebrates its 20th year.

DraftKings previously signed a three-year contract with Meadowlark Media to serve as the presenting sponsor of programming. Le Batard stated on a March edition of his show that the deal was ending in “a few months” and did not provide further details surrounding the situation. Outside of Le Batard’s show, the company is involved in other podcasting ventures and records shows from studios in Miami and New York City.
