The Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show had reason to celebrate on Friday, as it marked the third anniversary of the program’s debut.
The show — which features personalities like Jay Crawford, Dustin Fox, Adam “The Bull” Gerstenhaber, Garrett Bush, and Jason Lloyd, among others — airs from 11 AM to 1 PM on YouTube, with the final half-hour of the show airing on WKYC-TV, the local NBC affiliate in Cleveland.
During Friday’s edition of the show, Bush thanked viewers for helping a show that he believed might not have had the brightest future succeed for three years.
“I would call them family members, because we argue,” Bush said of the audience. “We’ve been doing a lot of different things, and we got one of the most loyal fan bases. People wake up in the middle of the night in other countries to watch this stuff. That’s a beautiful thing.”
Bush added that the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show has undoubtedly undergone some trials and tribulations, but has come out on the other side better for it.
“At the beginning, they told us we had six months,” he shared. “People quit jobs. People was looking around, and it got bleak for a minute. I can tell you — behind the scenes — people was looking around like, ‘I don’t know, bro. I might need to get this part-time joint.’ But here’s the thing, y’all kept watching. Y’all kept showing up and y’all really showed up and showed out for us … So I want to thank you — every single one of you — for being loyal and just really making this show what it is.”
On social media, several of the show’s cast members and producers took time to commemorate the milestone by sharing their admiration for what has transpired in the three years since the show debuted.
